Making An Offer
You found the house, now it’s time to make an offer. Your agent will give you an estimate of closing costs and mortgage payment for the home. They will also go over lots of paperwork with you and discuss what offer will give you the best chance of reaching your goals. Offers will include a price, how much money you will put at risk if you don’t close, any assistance you will expect from the seller, timelines for settlement, contingencies for your mortgage, and details on your opportunity to inspect the home before you purchase. Be sure to ask questions and clearly understand the timelines and obligations that go in to making an offer on a home.
